What are Jack’s Alt-Stays ‘Alternative Eco-Cabins’
Our ‘Alternative Eco-Cabins’ are the next generation of tourist accommodation, and are perfect for a Scottish staycation getaway in 2022. Each Cabin comes with its very own theme and story. You can expect clever interior design and a one-of-a-kind artist’s wall mural. Not only this, but we’re creating a totally unique and fully immersive sensory experience.
Our Cabins are being built locally with sustainable materials and will be powered by 100% renewable energy. We will also be planting 5 trees for very booking made, through our partnership with Ecologi.

When / where will you be up and running?
Our ‘Alternative Eco-Cabins’ are coming to Millport, Isle of Cumbrae in Summer 2022*. Please note our site is still in development and may be subject to delays. We will be sending updates to our mailing list and social media in the lead up to launch. You can sign up to our mailing list here.
When are bookings opening?
We are aiming to open our bookings in Summer 2022*, ahead of our launch. To keep updated and be first to hear when bookings open, sign up to our mailing list.
When does the voucher expire?
To give all of our voucher holders plenty of opportunity to book, our December 2021 Christmas Vouchers will be expire in December 2023. At the moment, the opening date at Jack’s Alt-Stays will be in Summer 2022*. Voucher holders will be notified by e-mail and given 1-week exclusive access to the booking platform, before bookings are open to the general public. This will give voucher holders priority and flexibility to book the dates of their choosing. To be notified our launch plans, you can also sign up to our mailing list.
How much does it cost per night?
Our nightly fee will vary dependent on time of seasonality, day of the week, local events and availability. Pricing will typically range between £100 – £200 per night and we will have a 2-night minimum stay, as standard.
When can I redeem my voucher?
As a voucher holder, you will be given 1-week exclusive access to the booking platform, before bookings are open to the general public. This will give you priority and flexibility to book the dates for your Jack’s Alt-Stay. Voucher holders will be notified via e-mail when priority bookings open.
What cabin can I stay in?
Our vouchers are redeemable for any of our Millport Jack’s Alt-Stays cabins, dependent on availability. Our first fully built cabin is ‘The Hive’, and we’re hoping to launch with at least 2 cabins available for booking in the Spring.
